I cut off the straps of an old backpack and used duct tape to secure them to the inside of the plastic bin, then I taped the vacuum hose and handle from the mop all together to look like the gun. I also added a doorbell and some small metal bits and pieces I found at the bottom of the junk drawer (there are benefits of never throwing anything away!) I used black electrical tape to help reinforce some of the heavier objects like the tape recorder I attached to the side and the wires.
